Situation

 

The client had been working on a new business idea for 3 years, and was struggling to obtain finance to support the development of the product.

 

Task

 

  • Our role in this assignment was to:
  • To provide structure, challenge and support for defining and preparing a business plan
  • To provide help with the grant application itself
  • To present the company at follow-up meetings with the government liaison advisor

 

Outcome

 

  • We structured the idea and filled the data gaps to create a viable business plan.
  • The plan comprises a multi-page PowerPoint document supported by a detailed excel workbook which captured the market analysis, supporting assumptions and detailed financial cash flow analysis
  • We then successfully helped with obtaining A$64,000 of COMET grant funding
